I have such tall tanks I use a longer gravel vac tube, which python sells separately. If you got a longer tube you would not have to fight him off all the time because your hand would not be in the tank... just an idea.

Out of curiosity how long ago was Casper’s last spawn taken to Wet Spot? They still are selling Sagittae and I wonder if it could be same batch, likely not.

I tried the longer one before, but didn't like it. To hard to get around all the obstacles in my smalls tank.

Casper is so used to the net now it's a non issue in that regards. He doesn't fight it at all.

His last batch went to The Wet Spot not this last summer, but the one before. Could be his grandkids. Now I am curious and going to call them.

The ones I had grown out were Casper’s kids. Good looking bunch for sure. A bit slower growing than my midas or Petsmart devils buy way more aggressive! The three I had are all gone. Sadly first got ate by the endli because it was put into the 300 a little too early. The second was put down due to a deformity. The third turned out to be a female and I took her into my local fish store and Im not sure where she ended up.

how'd you get that algae? I'm assuming just time? I love the look
I assume it rode in on some plants. It's called Brown beard algea. Above pic was nearly a year ago. Now it's covered everything. 20200820_174223.jpg
