I was flicking through Netflix last night and came across a series called "bad sport". Episode one is called "hoop games". Some of you guys stateside may remember this, it was quite a scandal regarding match fixing in basketball around 1994. The team involved was Arizona state.
Absolutely fascinating, I was rivetted by it. Their best player was the instigator, though another player was involved too, though to a lesser degree. He colluded with a high stakes gambler who made millions. The two basketball players made about $20000 per game. Their run lasted for a handful of games before it all came crashing down. I can highly recommend it.
As far as I know the other episodes concentrate on other underhand goings on in other sports, I'll continue watching tonight.
By the way, I give squidgames a wide berth after realising it was Korean with poor subtitles. Not my idea of fun, lol.
