And also added the smaller driftwood to give the tank more detail. A few shots and a video.

Some shots of the center of the big tank and a few shots of the dithers. How long will these umbee dithers last for? Hopefully long term as both species grow. The speed of the Hemiodus and the shape of the Blue Hooks. At least I hope….

The F0 umbee from TUIC are already spawning. Incredible how small they are relative to their adult size and already spawning. And the color's already.

how do you net fish outta the tank with all those branches in there?

I love the scape, too. I read the post you referenced about how to build these scapes and preserve tank floor space, using driftwood Shelfs and all.

problem I run into is this. Growing out lots of fish in a big tank, the need OFTEN arises to net fish out of the tank. That usually means taking the driftwood out of the tank.

do you have a cool idea for that, too? Cause I’d loooove to add more Manzanita to my tank and scape it like your tanks. But, I think I’ll wait until the tank’s occupants are more “finalized”, because I don’t want to be removing/replacing all that driftwood every 2-3 weeks.

Looking amazing! Love the FTS with the dog laying in the bed down in the corner lol. Keep up the great work.
Thank you. Yes, the dogs sleep right next to this big tank.
Both tanks look great, but the 280 scape in particular (for my taste at least is) fantastic.

Looking forward to following.
Thank you. This has been a fun project to work on and it was fun creating all the little territories with the rock.
I heard a beer opening! Love the scaping and seeing them all together.
Nothing like drinking a beer after gmhavjng your hands in the tank all day.

Thank you. My secret is I lower the water level until only the fishes bodies are covered. This makes it easy to net fish out and I find that I only have to remove a few pieces of wood to net the fish out.
