I ordered a Hygger DC 1350gph that was on sale. I’m now able to run dual returns from one pump. FE92E837-EEAE-452E-8C96-6CF9F22C3222.jpeg3F4335E0-2F93-4731-80A7-74EF3F5BD877.jpegA74506EB-B661-4A76-ACFA-12A94187D552.jpeg

How loud is the hygger and do you know how much power it uses? I'm setting up a 550 and have been looking at pumps on paper from syncra silent series to abyzz series; i have a bit of concern over noise and power drawl. The abyzz is insanely expensive so I'm not likely to use it but the power drawl listed for it is quite low per gallon and all reviews claim it is dead silent. I have a syncra 3.0 and 4.0 and they make a bit of noise (though not as much as the water rushing through the test tubing; but their power draw is not exactly optimal (i'm setting up a number of tanks and total number of pumps I will require is approx 16,000 gph).

It’s quiet but I also have 14 other tanks running and a large diaphragm air pump too. Power usage claim is 40watts.

Photosynthesis of Najas guadalupensis (guppy grass). I supplied some clippings to my kids HS science teacher. He dropped some water+sugar solution so the cells would lose water and become plasmolysed. You can see a couple where the interior (cytoplasm and green chloroplasts) is shriveled.DCBEC2F9-9E05-4B2E-B384-BF5CE06C0DC4.jpeg

While catching the C similis I noticed an oddball Cory in the mix of C aeneus. It’s grey overall with some metallic green on the gill plates. A602DE86-43B0-435D-8594-D83624C18F28.jpegC43DA86A-064F-434E-A48E-013F504A71D1.jpeg

Somehow this little fry who entered the world 2 tanks over made it through the drain to the sump. He then made his way through T the pump and return to the C eques tank.FD39C6E1-98B6-403D-980B-60E2D0D5DBF0.jpeg
