I am currently four seasons into "Yellowstone". I've been binge watching it, up to three episodes at a time! I can say quite comfortably that jjohnwm jjohnwm recommendation to watch it is probably the best advice he has ever given out on the forum thus far, lol.

This show is brilliant, and very easily slots into the top five of my all time favourite shows, and that takes some doing because I've seen a lot!!

And Beth Dutton is currently tied in first place for the accolade of my favourite all time box set character, along with Walter White from "Breaking Bad".

I bow to thee John, lol.
What the...????

I distill all these pearls of wisdom and then laboriously peck them out with my clumsy sausage-like fingers on the keyboard of a rickety 6-year-old laptop, trying to assist my fellow aquarists with their chosen avocation...not to mention my desire to improve the human condition as a whole...and you consider the single most useful thing I've come up with to be a recommendation for a TV show???

As my grandfather would have said: I am thinking I have the insult! :)

But...yeah, it is a pretty terrific show, isn't it? :)

Now, if you like that one, then there's another you may enjoy: "Vikings"

I think there's about 7 seasons of this; it started out as a fairly low-budget affair, but it always had wonderful production values, including great writing, plot, acting and especially music. As it progressed it became very popular and successful, and of course its budget increased. It spans several decades; it starts out focused on one particular character, and by the end of the series his son, a child who was perhaps 10 in the first episodes is an adult in his prime. Lots of interconnected storylines and intriguing characters; much backstabbing and treachery...it's like one of my family reunions, but with battleaxes. Maybe not on a par with Yellowstone, but still some terrific TV.

Going watching Avatar 2 tonight in 3D at the cinemas. Looking forward to this one for sure. Not sure about the 3D though. I feel like I'm going to be squirming in my seat dodging arrows and such all night, lol.

Let me know what you thought - I saw it on Saturday. Besides a few pacing issues, I thought it was very good.

My only concern at the moment is the length of it. Over 3 hours is epic. But time will tell, I'll let you know what I think later.

Avatar 2, as I expected was a great film. I think they could have squeezed it down to two and a half hours though, instead of just over three, it was a bit too long for me.

But the action, and the CGI was just fantastic. I also regret going watching it in 3D. When I'm watching a film such as Avatar it's got to be a super high definition blue ray type picture.

And watching it in 3D was just weird. The picture wasn't as crisp and clear as I liked. Some dude on the way out commented on it. He said it was like watching a movie on a pirated disc, a copy. That comment summed it up for me too.

I have the original Avatar on blue ray disc. I may also get Avatar 2 on blue ray too, and watch it again!

I’m debating seeing it again - otherwise I can wait till it’s on disc (or likely Disney+).
Those would be my thoughts on 3D as well - it’s just distorted enough where it takes you out of it.

.....watched Black Adam for as long as I could stay awake....the best part that I can recall was when Superman showed up for a few seconds.

I’ll get to it…eventually.
Probably better than most of the recent marvel and dc stuff…

I was surprised to see it offered on On Demand in the "free movies" section so soon and I'm damned sure glad I didn't pay to watch it in a theater.
