Chocolate Cichlid (Hypselecara temporalis)

Here they are together tried to get a better side by side but they weren’t cooperating. 
Loving those green tints, beautiful.
I haven't posted any of mine in a while, not since she's been transferred to the 360 anyway. She's getting big now, maybe nudging 9", and deep too. She loves spending most of her time chilling around that branch structure at the back of the tank.
She's really chilled to say she's in such a busy com tank (it took me 20 mins to get that solitary shot, lol). I thought she'd be bossing everyone but she's brilliant.
I'm sure she's laying eggs back there, it's difficult to see. Of course it's all to no avail though, as I don't have a male!
One thing I will say though is that she doesn't exhibit the same contrast of colours that she did in my all glass 120. Her colours are mainly beige, through various shades of brown and once in a while she'll get some deep purple/mauve type colouration.

What is going on with my male Choko lotta? These white zits just appeared. I just cleaned the filters today and they were hardly dirty.

Looks familiar, I went through this with Bobo. I treated with salt/sulfaplex and powdered vitamin C for a week. She had lympho that was ongoing. One of the members here mentioned he stopped keeping chocs because they would get random pimples and I'm now a believer they get those. If Choco lotta is scratching definitely treat. Those spots will fall off.
I think the white spots might simply be infected pores. Early stage HITH.
You might try upping the weekly water change volume & rotate a high vitamin food into the menu.

I run a drip system for water changes. Will increase amount though.
I have been pre soaking the food I feed with kanaplex and the white pimples are disappearing.
