Looks like a nice wood-burner set-up, Esox; I'm curious as to whether or not you do your own chimney-sweeping? We have ours done once yearly by a professional service, at the insistence of my wife who apparently doesn't have complete faith in my DIY talents. I am secretly pleased; they do it entirely from the bottom, with a giant vacuum hose that snakes in from the truck, through an open window and into the stove itself. There is never a trace of dust or dirt that escapes into the house; they are done within 30 minutes, start to finish. Duke likes the father-and-son team of guys who do the work, and I have complete faith in Duke's ability to judge character.
In our previous house, we had a much more gently-sloped roof and I was up there every year clinging to the side of our giant brick chimney with the giant wire brush, and with a ridiculous Rube-Goldberg-esque plastic wrap around the stove itself to more-or-less sorta kinda capture
most of the overspray.
I must get myself one of those little convection fans you have. Our stove has an electric fan, which I rarely use as it sounds like a jumbo jet landing in the yard.
