Consistently low to mid 30C range here the last few weeks with the occasional very high 30s and even 40C last week.
To be honest its a bit too hot for my tastes, my work involves driving out to visit customers. I hate getting back into the stinking hot car after an hour long meeting then having to do some phone and email work before driving to the next customer. Just as i get the car nice and cool i get to the next appointment and start the whole cycle again. With our synthetic company issues polo shirts i get a bit sticky and smelly by the end of the day.

Actually, we rarely get snow, and when we do, it's a photo op. Last time we had this much snow was 32 years ago. the "rose" (I know, it looks like a rose) is actually a camelia. Shot the camelia bush right through the kitchen window and cropped it.
The camelia bush is more like a large tree that robins and other birds have made their nests in, and the "tree" gives us some privacy. The rain has melted the snow.
It was 68F here today around 4 PM, partly sunny and breezy. Tomorrow it's supposed to be a high of maybe 30F which is the 'normal' temperature for this time of year.
Heavy snow's one thing but it was also very windy last night, almost blizzard like. So there'll be lots of drifting on untreated roads. Even in my 4x4 it'll be tricky getting to work today.
This pic was taken as I opened the downstairs curtains this morning. That crate is where I store some of my wood. There's a good 12" of snow on top. That is a lot of snow for us in a just a few hours.

Twelve inches overnight is a fair chunk of snow for anybody, anywhere. It's downright crippling when it falls somewhere that the populace is not accustomed to it nor ready for it.
About 20 years ago, the city of Toronto received a similar amount in one day...and then got an even greater amount fall on them over the next few days. The mayor of the city at that time was a little dancing monkey who was well-known for his antics on the TV commercials he insisted upon starring in, advertising his furniture/appliance business. After a week of heavy snow, he called the federal government begging for assistance from the armed forces.
The soldiers duly arrived and dug out the city...and Toronto was the laughing stock of the rest of the country for a long time after that...even more than usual. A situation which would have been an inconvenience for the vast majority of the country was treated like the End Of Days by the delicate urban flowers and their manic mayor.
A good time was had by (almost) all!

, one question I meant to ask some time ago regarding the huge amounts of snowfall you receive, and in particular snowfall on roofs.The weight of the snow on any one given roof can be quite significant. Do you need extra building regulations in place in Canada regarding the construction of house roofs?
No doubt safety factors are involved at the design stage of all houses. I'm guessing that these safety factors would go up considerably if there was a chance that snowfall could bring a roof down?
