Lol, maybe...but I've already thought about it more than I feel it deserves. If you really thing about it breakdancing is really just a form of gymnastics, it involves the same basic skills, strength and coordination, apparently it was a one off and wont be in any more olympics.
So true. She's a bloody genius mate...now a wealthy one at that!My suspicion is it was a publicity stunt on her behalf to get some quick sponsorship and advertising deals as she is suddenly a global talking point. It would be more lucrative than an actual gold medal, its funny as she is everywhere on any news website you can find but i dont even know who actually won the gold.
Absolutely nothing wrong with skateboarding if they actually race on the damn things!LOL.....and seriously?.....breakdancing and skateboarding are Olympic events?.....what next, competitive graphiti??
I've seen loads of these videos and no, the roads aren't always closed! They really are living on the edge. I'm familiar with a lot of these alpine type descents through watching cycling. Cyclists can get well over 100kph going down some of these roads, but the difference being, the roads are definitely closed during professional cycling stages, so those long boarders are nothing short of crazy.Wow! Unbelievable! I sure hope this is on a closed road; I hate to think of a car coming around one of those bends when that guy on a 6-inch-wide plank is busy taking up two entire lanes.
I was bemused by that stance with the two hands clasped behind the back. Improved aerodynamics? Holding his pants up? Checking to see if he shat himself?
