Well if that's a precursor to an imminent earthquake then that gives him another excuse not to start his pond!That's an Oarfish.
It's also referred to by the Japanese as the Doomsday Fish, and finding one beached is supposedly a precursor of some huge upcoming disaster, typically an earthquake. A disquieting thing to find on a California beach...shrouded in mystery and legend, spoken of in hushed whispers, a mythical entity often believe not to exist.
It's a lot like the Shadow's pond.

That stings.We had some rain overnight which caused the trees to drop a whole bunch more leaves all over everything......and now my lawn and driveway looks like I never touched it.
