That RTC only eats frozen foods and shows no interest in live prey. It uses its whiskers to sense cold food, such as the raw shrimp I was feeding it in the video. I've kept smaller fish with it before, and it hasn’t shown any predatory behavior. The Arowana is doubling in size since I added it two months ago, and the RTC hasn’t attempted to attack it once. During the night, I keep a small white light on to make sure all the fish can see the RTC and avoid surprises. Outside of feeding times, it mostly stays hidden.
That isn’t just one bird, but a group of Australian budgies—about 12 of them in a large cage, which is also in my room. They’re lively little guys and always chirping away!
