Haha ya I ended up getting 2 so hey just to update you and whoever is watching always love fish talk but Dano check this out, so i sent a video of my k1 media bed moving to the breeder and he said "wait wait wait thats not enuf movement" so after some discussion with him myself and my old breeder it was decided I need twice as much k1 in (which i have on hand) AND more air going in there so i threw the airstone in the pic i just attached into the media chamber and shes rockn and rollin now! I was told to add media a bit at a time so im doing about two cups every other day until theres twice as much in the chamber. The pic attached is the airstone thats now also in the media chamber. How do you post videos by the way???

Anyone have any suggestions of some plants that are both stingray and fly river turtle safe to add to my tank for some greenery?

The bloke I’m getting the BD ray from has tons of java fern growing in bits of wood and rock in the 300gal rubber made tote he keeps his rays and AUL fish in

Thats cool Ive also heard Pothos do well if you take them out of the dirt and hang them in the tank like hydroponics style

Anyone know anything about fly river turtles accidentally dying from drowning? I'm so afraid hes gonna get stuck under the wood branches or rocks or something...

Your FRT looks amazing mate!!
I’ve never kept one but I have seen pics of them sitting under overhangs and logs etc. just make sure nothing is precariously balance so it cannot be dislodged and fall on the turtle.

Thanks so much man appreciate it! I am actually terrified of the wood being in the tank now ever since i learned they can trap themselves and drown. I have bee messing with it trying to find the best spot so that he can always swim under it to the other side and doesnt have to back up or turn around. Not sure how smart they are??? But then also once the rays get here i feel like ill have to move again to maximze floor space. Sand is coming soon too the entire base needs to be covered the current is actually pushing the FRT all over the place and he can only sit still in the sand with his little claws. Such a cool animal.

Yea, I was gonna say once your rays are on the way you’d need to remove a bunch of those rocks to free up some “floor” space for your bottom sliders to groove around on
Whatever structure you create to support
your wood piece for the FRT to swim or rest under will need to be very stable as the rays try to push it around. You may even consider gluing things together dry and then adding to the tank so the structure cannot fall apart and trap the FRT

Oh good point they like to bury themselves and move stuff around. Def gonna have to take out some rocks for sure, the wife said "make it more natural looking" and I knew better lol now im gonna have to fish em out.
