1,000 GALLON MULTI TANK SUMP SYSTEM.

I dont know if you have already answered this, might have missed it on the read through, but are you using 1 in. over flows as well as 1 in. returns? Awesome job, looks great!

Considering the size of your system I understand why an external pump makes a lot of sense. How big of a pump are you going to upgrade to?

Not 100% sure I know that Kamikazi will know, or at least has an idea of what were considering.

Have you had any issues balancing the flow to your lower tanks vs the flow to your upper tanks?

Actually this was a little bit of a headache, but that is why we used a Ball Valve on each tank so we can shut off or limit flow individually, its all flowing good now!

I am looking forwards to seeing your DE implementation! I think you will really appreciate the DE... but it is easy to get spoiled quickly and forget what cloudy water looks like. :) I still haven't changed the original DE powder on mine and it is still going strong!

Personally I can't wait either, with this many tanks cloudy water is just a giant pain.

This setup is so awesome.

Thank you it means a lot to us

We are using 1” pipe in to each tank and dual 1” out of each tank into a single 4” pipe to the sump. Thanks, its a work in progress

Seen this in person the other day. Looks great. Just can't wait til you add more tank and finish. Going to be awesome...r

The thing has been running since Christmas and we just washed the filter socks for the first time. Need to upgrade the pump as we've discussed before. FYI boys I'm going through the floor to the ground level and need a pump with some real good head and to push 1,300-1,700 gph. I'm looking for an 1/8th hp pump that is highly efficient. It will be pushing through a DE filter before going into the tank.

Really need help with pumps guys. Next major part of refining this project will be getting a more efficient pump aiming for about 4000 gph.

Then I also need a pump that can drive a de filter so probably 1/8 th hp, about 1'000-1,500 gph. Let me know what you think.
