Not a bad idea ,but copper tubing would work much better as it dissipates heat much better than plastic! I would also spread out the coils for more air contact.

It dropped two degrees in an hour and a half. I had to leave for the day, i'll check the temp tommorrow and I am sure it will be more than fine.

Good call on the backround,

As for the chiller...
If you need more cooling, you can always plumb to the freezer part, raise the temp as high as it'll go and pump faster water (less dwell time)...
After the tank is set up, and depending on the ambient temperature you'll be able to adjust your temp once the system reaches equalibrium...

What is your desired temp?
