Is it flush time?

I may have to put them down. I don't want them to suffer.

two of the five are not eating properly and its just a matter of time before the other ones get to that stage..

the curse continues but I am determined to eventually break it.

I love this tank too much to let it win! :)

are you going to treat with antibiotics before throwing in the towel?

I have had good luck using Furan to traet what I thought was hopeless bacterial infections in larger tanks. its not cheap, but it sure did the trick as that particular med is absorbed readily

the title of this thread should be changed to

"12 Volt Man's Cursed Aqueon 150 Gallon Startup thread"

haha

Pity you can't edit it either. Truely cursed.:headbang2

what fish is sick?

two of the barbs are not eating normally (one is noticably skinny now)

and all 5 of them have shown the stringy feces like I showed in the pic a few pages back.

they had this from the beginning, but I didn't think was an issue a few months ago when I got them because they were eating normally (ie stuffing themselves).

but now, it looks like they are all going to end up like the skinny one..

I think its a lost cause for these guys...

I got a bad batch of barbs..thats all there is to it..

who knows, they probaby came over from asia and could have been kept in crowded conditions (ponds?) where disease may have run rampant...
