Did the LFS give you money for, or just take them? Over here don't usually get nothing if you return a fish / fishes.

I got $10 Canadian for each one ($70 total) - pays for that damn peice of wood LOL.

which means they will probably sell them for $30 each.

the LFS's around here usually give 1/3d of what they sell them for if you arrange it with them before hand.

if you just show up with fish unannounced expecting them to take them and get paid, you usually get nothing.

looking good 12v man! nice lemon fins, lets hope theyre not cursed! *KNOCK ON WOOD*

these ones were from a totally different LFS than either of the tinfoil batches, so I hope they are good.

I am more concerned about how skittish they are than anything else.

time will tell.

I was just reading your thread updates -- Nice job! I noticed that you said you got your tanks from a merchant called, big al's. I looked it up online. All I can say is that that's one nice store. I wish we had those in my locale. I see that it's a Canada-based company, with one location in Florida. I really hope they expand to more parts of the US. I can imagine shopping there is like an event.

post filament barb full tank shot.

this is probably the way its going to look for a while.

its time to concentrate on healing the barbs and growing them huge..:headbang2

Alright 12 Volt man. My barbs are colouring up nice like the ones you used to have. I've found they seem VERY reluctant to swim above the midline of the water column and usually they are like 2-3 inches off the gravel. They seem to be "copying" the clown loaches and the flagtail...Any tips? I've put in cichlid floating sticks, they haven't touched them for an HOUR, now are slowly, scared, venturing up but extremely afraid. My light is the same brightness as yours I'd say. Dunno what I'm doing wrong?

Update: they seem to be being "taught" to eat from the top now...wonder if I can get them swimming up there more without putting food in...hmm
