Your call bro, Stability from scratch is fun or you can take one of my filters or do both. Either way is fine by me. Sorry for bailing on buffing my tank today. I needed to rest really bad after my PT. :( The place is called "Saltwater Fanta-Seas" and it's about 10 blocks east of I-205 on Sandy blvd. Patrick is the owners name, he'll set you up. (503) 255-1645. LMK if you need anything else.

Yeah, I'll probably do both, can't hurt.

No problem dude! Thanks for everything, you've been a HUGE help! Let me know when you want to work on your monster tank, my brother is coming to visit this wednesday, so either before then or after saturday is cool.

:grinno:

Yeah, that's a lot. I have the Rena XP3 sitting around, waiting to see how the fx5 does on its own, but then again, I don't have turtles ;)

I will probably get an aquaclear 110 for the upper water column, and also for how easy it is to change out the media.

You can get an extension cord at any hardware store, like a home depot, ACE, Lowe's, etc. They will also have them at a kmart, walmart, target, etc. They will be like a few bucks, under $10, the one I'm using was already at the house I rent, so I haven't bought one lately. It is about a million feet long, and I will probably replace it with something shorter.

Heh heh, probably not a lot to pay for a kid that's interested in a cool hobby, and not booze, drugs, and fast women, like I was when I was a teenager! :grinno:

AND that's nothing compared to what I spend in my other hobby... vintage motorcycles. :screwy:

oh then i'll get an extension for it tomorrow,

ps when u set up your fx5 the tubes, did u have to cut any? are the tubes real long like you know your tank is same as mine with stand, but i'm putting my fx5 maybe like beside my tank, not directly below but real close, so the tubes might have to be farther idk

You HAVE to cut them. It only comes with one long tube. Each end of the tube is for the input and output nozzle on the canister. You fit the tube to one first, cut it, the stick the other end into the opposite and cut it. I used a utility knife with a razor blade, but you could probably use any sharp knife.

There was about 2 feet left over for me. You might have to get more, I have no idea.
