125g Native tank Updated

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks great. :)

I had a 125g native setup also a few years back and it was very fun. I'm thinking I'll do similar with my 220g once I put those fish in a larger tank.

The plants look fine, and the more of that stuff you have the more natural behavior you'll see, plus breaking up the tank like that will help prevent aggression problems. My only suggestion would be maybe trying some hardy live plants like anubias and slowly removing the plastic ones. It's amazing what a difference it could make.

not a fan of live plants at all, so i always go with fake ones

This is a really cool tank...I am in the process of trying to get the ball rolling with a 125 indigenous to N.A. as well...always been my dream to have a tank with all natives in it. Nice job!

Nice tank. I had one set up just like it. Believe it or not my crappie was probably the biggest pig in the tank when I had it set up. They do not tend to move a whole lot. But if it gets close to their mouth they hammer it. Good luck getting your gar. They are fun as well.

very cool!!! exotics are fun and all, but going native (al nat u rall) is very enjoible and rewarding. MAD props.
