Yeah natives are cool. I think people get in the mind frame that the fish occurring naturally around them are just for sport or food. But if you give them a try they have some very interesting behavior. They are just as fun as the tropicals and big cichlids.

Of course, all the tropicals we keep in NA are natives to other people. I wonder if they think it's weird for us to want to keep the fish that they fish for?

nice native tank... personally its missing a bowfin but then again...

i agree totally, if i catch one i'll toss it in the tank

right, fish are native to somewhere lol, i wonder if people in other parts o the world want a largemouth bass or pumpkinseeds or something like that

actually, there was someone in the UK looking for pumpkinseeds on here not too long ago. I remember reading though, they're an invasive species in several areas of Europe.

Couldn't agree more. Natives are my fav.

The other turnoff for natives depending on where you live, is their illegality to keep. If you have them up here, you have to be careful who you tell otherwise you can end up with a rather large fine.
