It was more then a pile of lumber. There was also 2 tubes of something...can't really tell.
Last two tubs of the subfloor adhessive that I am using. This stuff is amazingly strong and goes a long way. They are discontinuing it. Makes me sad I did a strength test on that and liquid nails, and it beat liquid nails by far. I glued some wood together with both and tried to break them apart. Liquid nail let loose from one side and kinda broke apart. The Stuff shown here would not break, and the 2x4 broke in half long ways before the adhesive would break. Hopefully these two huge tubes will last the rest of the way.

TUbes lol. Well today I did the most important step of this entire project. I cleared out the back half of the garage to make room for the growing giant aquarium I'm building. I started by taking everything out of the garage at 11 am. Then I started to drain both of the big ponds. I drained both of them into a kiddie pool. I also put all of the catfish in the garage into the kiddie pool. I moved the one to the other side of the garage, and then the tank that my biggest fish was in was moved about 10' down the wall to make space for the tank. That thing was a lil waterlogged on the bottom and weighed probably a ton. Needless to say it took 4 of us an hour to drag, push, and pull it into place. After that was done I refilled them with the water from the kiddie pool, and some fresh water. Knocked out water changes also lol. By this time it was 7 pm. Then I had the fun task of getting rid of all the water that was left on the garage floor(still in progress). I still have to put a ton of stuff back into the garage, but at least now everything will be organized and out of the way of the tank build. I have training in the morning, and hopefully it won't last too long. I didn't make any progress on the tank, except that I now have room for it lol. I worked in the garage cleaning and tossing usless stuff until 11 pm. Now I'm tired, and didn't get to work on my tank any, but hopefully everything I did today was well worth it, as now I can build to my heart's content without anything being in the way. I just have to keep reminding myself that I will have 15 days of no work that I can spend on this. Hopefully I can come up with the money to get the rest of the plywood by the time I'm done with the skeleton. New plan also is to put some 2x4 feet on my tank. Going to put one board every 1' all the way across the bottom. Reason being is that I see that water gets trapped under my pond and is rotting the wood out from underneat it. Gives me a good reason to make sure this tank is raised a lil. I think 1.5" will keep the moisture off the bottom. Anyone see any problems with that? Trying to determine weather to go with one 10' acrylic pane or two 5' ones.

2 panels will be cheaper than 1... but 1 is more impressive looking LOL

Sounds like a busy day

Nice work on this build. Very interesting! I like the idea of raising the tank off the floor. it will keep the tank from rotting from the outside and you'll be able to slide some styrofoam under the tank to help insulate during the winter. It'll help keep those heat bills down.

I am so sore today. I'm on lunch break from training. Hopefully it won't last too long so that I can come home finish up what little I need to in the garage and start working on my tank again. If I do one panel it will be 10' pane viewing area like 9.5', and will have 4.25' unviewable on each side of the glass. Tough choice. Found a place that sells 10'x4'x1" acrylic for like $900. Not sure what shipping costs would be, but I'm sure it'll be in the hundreds. Thinking hard about one pane.

That's true about the styro, didn't even think about that one. Tnx. This will happen. Hopefully there will be enough wood that I'll have about 20 extra 2x4s to use on the bottom. Spacing them about 10" between each 2x4 sound good?

Yup, hopefully a big viewing window. Might have to go smaller than what I was expecting on the glass though. Will help bring down the costs. Thanks for the endorsement. Your fish is resting peacefully in my new deepfreezer. Cept he's missing most of his soft tissues lol.
