Now for revenge I think that since my wife's cat ate my fish, I should feed her cat to the big boy! All in favor???
The definition of cat food can be taken two ways. :D

...The stuff you get on a Chinese buffet that isn't quite chicken and isn't quite pork...well, that's "cat food". :yuck:

It's simple really mkman! Just send me your's!

Here's my top 20 catfish to find for this tank

Some I already have, others I'll be looking intensively to get and raise up to go in there. No catfish will enter the tank unless it meets some criteria. First it must grow larger than 2' before I will consider putting it into the tank. Second depending on the girth of the fish it may have to be as large as 3' before it will enter the tank. Third is the overall adult length must be more than 30". Fourth is if I can help it I will keep some of the more aggressive species out of this tank(except the jau, and if I have to I'll build him his own tank!). All of the fish going in will get a full range treatment for internal, and external parasite, bacterial infections, and will not be fed for a period of 1 week prior to entering the large tank. I know it's not full proof, but it will have to do. I will be taking down my 300 gal pond to use for the sump on this tank, the 350 gal will remain a long term growout. The big boy will go into the 350 again after the fish that are currently in there move into the big tank. I will have the tank filled with water for a leak test for a month before any fish are moved to it. Without further delay here is the list. Feel free to make suggestions, but if it's not a catfish, and you're not sending it to me I doubt it will go in this tank. I've toyed with the idea of rays and I don't think they would do good in a tank with this many very large catfish!

1) RTC
2) Jau
3) Leiarius marmoratus
4) Piraiba
5) Channel catfish
6) Irridescent shark
Now for the ones I don't have
7) Wallago leerii
8) Hemibagrus variegatus
9) Sorubimichthys planiceps
10) Brachyplatystoma platynemum
11) Brachyplatystoma vaillantii
12) Luciopimelodus pati
13) Pterodoras granulosus
14) Pseudoplatystoma corruscans
15) Pseudoplatystoma fasciatum
16) Clarotes laticeps
17) Silonia silondia
18) Ictalurus furcatus
19) Rita sacerdotum
20) Tandanus tandanus

This is not an exclusive list. There will also be some hybrids in the mix of course, but these are the ones that I will strive to get into the tank! If that's too many then I will just have to build another one wont I?

Also can you guess the fish in this pic?

lol, this thread is about to get interesting for you I guess since I'll be plumbing it and trying to figure out what the hell to do with the sump I have planned! I'll be doing some sketches to see what you and the rest of the nerds think sometime soon.

Ok, what are all the dead fish for?
Those my friend were sent to me along with a couple MFK decals, t-shirts, and postcards(thanks Li). Let's just say there will be a thread about monster fish skeletons in the near future! I still need to finish up a few that people have already paid for though. I feel bad because I have very little time to work on anything and when I have that time I'm splitting it between working on skeletons and working on this tank lol. I also have to find time to donate plasma, clean other aquariums, and do some oddball jobs to support my fishkeeping. Hoping that once all this is said and done that my 350 will be the new home for recued cichlids around here. I don't really want my catfish to eat them as that's not why I've been rescuing them, and I don't want my catfish to get a big cichlid stuck in their throats. lol. Here's some pics of what li sent minus the shirts n stuff.:headbang2Oh, and after these skeletons are finished I will be offering them up for sale on MFK for a reduced price. All proceds will go to this tank, and if anything is left over I plan on making a donation to MFR....:naughty: I think it's only fair that I give back to the community of fishkeepers that have given so much to me!! I think we should all help each other achieve our dreams.

Hemibagrus variegatus

look gd so far, have u though about , Leiarius pictus, Auchenoglanis occidentalis
Very correct!;) I have thought about those, and would definitely keep them, the pictus is a little smaller than what I'm looking for, but that's not to say I wouldn't keep one in the 350 pond! I forgot all about the girrafe! That's definitely on the list so there will have to be 21 now lol. Thanks! This tank will be like a big ol pile of catfish! lol. I was gonna keep them in pairs, but I think at this point there will not be enough room for all of that. So the plan is for one of each right now. I'll have to send out multiples to MFKrs I guess!

Here's a pic of what would be a truely awesome fish to have in there! Any guess?

Rita rita?

i have u though about Platynematichthys notatus,Pseudodoras niger,wels

It's Oxydoras niger now. I thought I had it on there, but I guess not. As for the notatus, if you're buying it for me I'd be glad to keep one lol. Wels I'm still debating. That's getting into a size range I'm unsure of(this comming from the man with a filamentosum). Their mouth is so huge I'm not sure I'd want an adult in this tank. I'm kind of skeptical of the wallago honestly. The Fila grows so slow that I think I have plenty of time to figure out what to do with him in the future if it ever comes to that.

The fish in the picture is a Tachysurus longirostris. They grow huge, and are about as strange looking catfish as you can find. :headbang2Here's a nice pic of the big boy when I moved him to the 300 last summer The tub is about 3.5' wide, 2.5' front to back, and about 18" deep. Think he'd be ok in there for life? hehehe
