It's Oxydoras niger now. I thought I had it on there, but I guess not. As for the notatus, if you're buying it for me I'd be glad to keep one lol. Wels I'm still debating. That's getting into a size range I'm unsure of(this comming from the man with a filamentosum). Their mouth is so huge I'm not sure I'd want an adult in this tank. I'm kind of skeptical of the wallago honestly. The Fila grows so slow that I think I have plenty of time to figure out what to do with him in the future if it ever comes to that.

The fish in the picture is a Tachysurus longirostris. They grow huge, and are about as strange looking catfish as you can find. :headbang2Here's a nice pic of the big boy when I moved him to the 300 last summer The tub is about 3.5' wide, 2.5' front to back, and about 18" deep. Think he'd be ok in there for life? hehehe
you have a nice collection of catfish i wish i room for catfish, one day i will, and when i can it will be a rtc 1st, that pic is a strange looking cat, i know the family , but i just could not think what it was. i thinking of getting i wels too, if you do get wels keep the update on the grow, slow or fast. gd luck , nice rtc x tsn

I've done a pacu before. Very awesome teeth. Just came up with another dilema guys. The bulkheads? Do I really need bulkheads? Is there a way to make a homemade bulkhead at 4". My dilema is that it needs to be able to go through a 3" thick wall and hold a good seal. The only ones I can find online are $44 and up to $200, and none of those will go through a 3" thick wall. I'm thinking I'll have to manufacture my own, or find a way around it all together. Plumbing for this thing is a headache and a half lol.

There's my friend's tattoo. I designed it, but the artist didn't do it exactly right lol.

Ever though about 3-5 cichla temensis to spice up the life in that tank? I think they'd look good as a fish that swims in the top-mid range. You can grow em out in the 350 gallon tub and/or sump. They get 36"-40" long so they would more than fit the criteria for this tank other than the fact that they aren't catfish. Maybe put an arowana or two in there as well. :grinno:
Man, I could go on all day saying names of monster fish that would work in there but I named some favorites of mine.

You could probably glue up a bulkhead fitting for a 3" or thicker wall. My idea is 2 ABS fittings (MPT X Female slip) cut down and glued together with a very short piece of pipe in the middle (between the slip joints). With threads on both ends you should be able to find something to use as nuts on both sides. 3" diameter would be fairly easy, but for 4" I think you are going to have to work at it. Another option would be to go to a large plumbing (wholesale preferably) supply and tell them what you are trying to do. They should be able to come up with something that will work.

WRT your bulkhead issue, I don't know. I'm very wary of gluing bulkheads now, as I had a siliconed one start leaking behind my plywood tank after about 6 months submerged. If you used a plastic friendly silicone instead of the silicone I crap it might be OK though. Any of the plastic friendly DOW silicones would probably work for bonding a bulkhead in. If you're going to use the AMES stuff though you might want to do some tests before you try to stick anything to it inside your tank tho
