That is what I'm getting! hehe Just have to save the money is all. Seems like everything takes so long because I always have to save money lol. I'm gonna try and order 1 5gal bucket of the blue max so I can at least get the first coat on there during my birthday! I plan on plumbing the tankless heater so that I can run a line to it when I am doing water changes to this tank and the ponds in the garage. Will have to use a 2way valve on it! I just plan on pumping the water through it continuously at the flowrate needed to keep the water at a constant temperature. It has an internal thermostate that will shut off the heater unless the water gets lower than the preset temperature.

You don't want to pump tank water through it. You'll greatly shorten the life pumping dirty water through it. A closed loop coil with distilled or RO/DI water in it will help extend the life. Just set the coil inside the sump with the thermostat inside the tank away from the return.

3ft Tandan catfish, ha! I would love to see one past 30" personally.

But good luck with that, and sucks about the slobbering catfish, they are one of my favourite shovelnose cats.

all the dissolved solids will get baked inside the unit as they pass through which over time will cause a build up. you may get particulate matter, but you aren't going to prefilter out the dissolved solids.

Good point. So I'll have to look into getting some sort of coils now too lol. This gets more and more expensive!

So guys and gals right now I have $70 saved up towards sealing the beast. My plasma donation money is going directly towards this now. I had to help with some bills, but now it should help, and with the $40 refund on the slobbering catfish that brings me to $110. So that means next week I will order the first 5 gal pail of the sealant. I will get $20 for the tank I clean next week, and $50 for plasma so that brings me to $180 total at the end of next week. So I might actually get one coat in this thing on my birthday!! woohoo!!!!
