Awesome job!
Now that you have decided to go with four foot windows, is the framing you have already completed going to be symmetric?
I have to make them a little smaller, but I have a plan for that that I think will actually help out. Going to attach 2x4s running across the top of the frame in much the same fashion that I have been connecting them side by side except they will sit on top and have many more screws going down into the others. This will give me an even frame also. The viewing area will be smaller, but going with this size instead of 6' x 30" is saving me almost half the price, and I will be getting a nice viewing area still. As said origionally this was going to be a pond, and I decided I wanted viewing windows so size doesn't matter that much, but I still want to be able to see my fish whole from the side.

Agreed, I can't wait to see BigBoy taking up the WHOLE window
Lol, I guess he'll be close when he first goes in. Should still have almost 9-10" more to grow before that happens.

LOL Hey Necro... I have the same Drill
That thing's the work horse of the project. I use it to drill pilot holes, then to screw in the screws. I don't know how many screws come in a 1 lbs box, and a 5 lbs. box, but it's almost drilled in every screw and I only have maybe 30 screws left out of the 5 lbs now. Not to mention the screws I am using for the plywood. already used .5 lbs. So 6.5 lbs of screws so far.

For holding it up off the floor, you're going to be best off keeping it down low while still high enough to easily put more screws in (getting that massive baby off a stand will make every inch regrettable.) Something like carskates would be perfect, but then you'd have to go buy them.
I'd be tempted to attach a bracket to the outside a few inches from the bottom too, so you can use a floor jack to take it off whatever stand you put it up on to work on, and/or any dollies you use to move it into place when you're done.
It's going to have to be at least 2' up in the air so that I can put ply and 2x4s on the bottom as well. I need it to be level though. I am not putting on any of the plywood inside our out until the skeleton is complete. This thing is already massively heavy. It's all I can do to maneuver it by myself. I don't have many people that can help either. Hmmm, it's bugging me, but for now I can try to continue with what I am doing.

I'm sorry, do you have another CAD drawing of what this is going to look like? That thing looks fricken huge already...and you say it's only 1/3 of the size it's going to be....man oh man you are going all out! A wood tank at that...What do you think your total cost projection is currently?
it's on one of the first pages for the drawing. So far I have spent less than $500 and that's with buying the first pump, about 150 2x4s, 7 lbs of screws, 6 tubes of subfloor adheasive, 5 sheets of plywood, and two of the eight barrels for the filter. Trying to keep the costs under $3000, might get this done as cheap as $2500, but shooting for $3000. That's 75 cents per gallon. If only gas were that price. Without the viewing windows I could easily do this for around $2000 or 50 cents per gallon. The barrels costs me $5 each at a local carwash.
