I actually have someone who wants to spray my tank for me, just so that he can get some use out of his gun made for this stuff. I'm guessing like what you mentioned. I'm thinking about fiberglassing it inside and out, gelcoating it inside. Then probably going to paint over the fiberglass on the outside. I might even jack up the front of the tank so that I can hit it underneath also. Not sure, I just know it will take a ton of epoxy, and gelcoat lol. Where would you rent a chopper gun? Is that pretty much what you use to spray bedliners?

A chopper gun is a set up that mixes the resin and hardener at a desired ratio, and has a spool of fiberglass that is auto fed into the stream of mixed resin.
There is an adjustable "CHOPPER" that cuts the fiberglass strands at a desired length. This method is used in production of boat hulls, fiberglass tubs and shower enclosures..etc. It produces a layup similar to using mat type fiberglass...

This is what a portable unit looks like...
the fiberglass strands are fed through those stainless guides, to the gun where it is chopped...

It would cost so much more. For glass that big it would also have to be thick to keep from bowing and breaking.

Lol, That's my leg in the window, and my rtc tattoo. Ha, ha, got me modeling the size of the tank. I helped put that ply on top of it also. I feel so special. lol. I have to help so that we can start on my tank soon!

Hey guys here's some pics from what I did tonight. Not a whole lot, but some is better than none. I put up some of the boards on the last wall. I'm about half way through that, and should be able to finish that up by wensday I hope. THis week is going to be really hectic as I have to finish up outprocessing the military, which ironically is harder than getting into the military. Then I have to job hunt like crazy. I might be a Schwan's truck driver soon though lol.
