Neco replied: "Cool I'll keep that in mind. I have the chop now, but I'll probably use your idea as I'd like the extra strength. Also since you're in the biz how many sq ft can gel coat cover on average?"

Don't really know how many sq ft exactly, but when we paint the back of our bilge compartment we use maybe 1/2 gal to 1 gal by brushing it on and normally the back is around 20-24 sq ft.

I think he's talking about woven roving like in the picture below. I'd hate to have to weave it myself lol.[/quote]

Yes that what I was refering to, but you can get it with chop on the other side to and less weight.

Sounds cool, but not sure I'll have room for two more IDs. I already have two, plus two pangasius sharks as well. Thanks

THanks. It has costed me around $800 so far total, but it will probably costs around $2000-$3000 when finished. Now is the boring part, just saving up money to buy the expensive stuff. Wood, and lights were cheap. Everything else is not.

if only you lived around here you wouldnt have the problem of keeping your tank to warm in the winter. the temp here in the winter stays about 55-65 and a lows are about 30 at the very lowest and it NEVER snows. and well in the summers its and average of 115 or so and if your lucky you get about 5-10 days in a row of 120 plus.
aint i lucky.

welcome to Monster supertank.
