Yes there is a way. I have the module that has switched ports...you get a water sensor ( not a DA product) and hook it to the switched ports and it will work. If it detects water it turns on the alarm...will email me...and do something like shut of the main pump untill it was dry if I wanted. Same thing with float switches in the main tank incase a drain were to clog. All in the long term plan. I will have the .net module mid week and ill try setting thatup.

Ok I dont know what is going on with my water...I can only guess its from the power being off. After seeing the ammonia rising some I decided to add some stability. I had got some at the same time as the safestart but used the safestart on the tank. So yesterday added the stability for the start dose...1 cap full per 10gal of water. and then went to new orleans. I just got home and tested the water again...now I am showing the same ammonia at about .25 or maybe .50ppm. But now I am showing nitrites for the first time ever at .25ppm. Also I have definite nitrates at 5ppm. So I just added some more stability at 1capfull per 20gal like the instructions say.

My only guess is because of the power being out. The tank has had fish for 3weeks on tuesday and never showed anything really. Now all 3 are showing withing in a few days after the power being out.

Sounds like the power out killed your initial bacteria. Stability wont instantly cycle an aquarium unfortunately Id say it makes the whole process work within a week. I think its one capful per 10 gallons every day for the first 7 days right.

one cap full per 10 the first time...then its per 20 the other 6 days. I am using the stability to give the bacteria a boost...I dont think they all died but I bet they had a massive die off. This proves to me more that the safe start worked....

Hm I have not really had to use the stability lately I am adding it once a month to my well stocked fry tank that was bare and cycled by the fish fry with stability that was amazing. My moms tank is also on the monthly maintenance that it recommends. It works though and damn well IME best of luck NolaGT

I would say your tank is about done, when I used stability I had similiar readings then ammonia went to 0 and I had nitrites stay around 1ppm for a week or so. all levels are safe so you are in the clear.

:grinno: haha. You better sell these off to pay your visa down buddy

Tested the water just now...exactly the same .25 amn .25 Ite 5 or less of Ate.

I may do a 1/3 tp 1/2 water change tonight. See if I cant knock these levels down.

On a side note...my Flavecent is the king of the tank and really HATES my catfish. He is terrorizing my eupterus cats! Cats are king in my tank because of the one I plan to get...he will get his walking papers if he cant settle down once more fish go in.

My holey grail of catfish (at least with African cats) that I really want is http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=416

Only problem with them is they will be a couple hundred at least and only like 15-20 are imported to the US each year. I will get one tho...saw one back in 92 and wanted one ever since.

Mr Brown (UPS) just dropped off some new goodies for the tank. My replacement power blocks so I can get my controller back up. one of 2 new fan less ballast (icecap). and the .NET module for the RKE....now I will be able to get alarm emails and check my water parameters online. I'll try playing with it tonight.:D

It cant change setting over the internet...jsut a real time view of whats going on. I bet they add that feature tho. Also a guy has made a iPhone app so you can also view the tank settings. He will add graphing features down the line. Cant wait to try all that out. Need to see how im going to set it up tho.

Water seems to be clearing more (had slight haze) and the test are getting closer to 0 I believe. I will see over the next few days whats going on.
