Hiding the airline will be cake...with glasscage tanks those overflows are just black acrylic covers. So the airline hose can and will route down behind them and pop out at the bottom under the gravel. 100% of the airline and air stone will be hidden. Its something I had to consider before I dropped the air stones in because I hate it too lol. Actually the air stone on the right of the tank is like that in the pic.
As for the controller...no auto clean...but thats about it lol. I will have water sensors hooked to it so if it detects water leaking in the stand...it will sound an alarm...email me and could if I want shut down pumps until it doesnt seance water anymore.
Float switch at the top of the tank...if the tank for what ever reason starts to over fill and almost overflow it will trip the switch and sound alarm email me and shut the main pump. Then the water level drops and the pump can come back on and run until almost overflowing again. This cycle will at least keep the tank alive if its a slight clogging of the drain system.
It also runs the heater with the tamp feature...and cross checks settings I have with the temp, lights and fans. Since I have MH, and if heat were a problem, I could have fans come on at certain water temps...and if it still got higher I could have it shut off a light at a time all to keep the temp at a set point. Along with emailing me if it gets too hot.
Feed mode....it can shut off the main pump/s or what ever pump I set...and let me feed the tank with out it rushing down the overflows...and then it will automatically turn on the pumps after a set amount of time so you dont forget them off.
Float switch in the top off reservoir at the bottom...so when it runs out of water it wont let my top off pump come on so it doesn't burn up. It will then sound an alarm and email me...so I know I need to add water to the top off reservoir...no need to keep checking it lol.
Also let me mention...the emailing and all that connection to the computer for logging and graphing...will be done wireless. I just have to buy the module and on the front screen there is a spot for the signal strength.
Theres a lot it will be doing...gotta love toys!
There is also "light" versions of this controller that do as much but still do a lot for a good price. No more timers all over...and clutter.
