Stopped by the glass shop today to get pieces cut for the top. They tell me my front is still two weeks away. Some problem with their distributer so I guess I'm still waiting.

not much to report...Installed the three pieces of glass in the canopy and decided to put a couple of extra coats of Zavlar on just waiting for the glass to get here now. Hopefully the beginning of next week. I'm starting to thoink they are deliverying by pony express.
Finally the glass and my sealer came in yesterday. Got the tank all set up on horses ready to go and I started soaking all my stones and plants in vinegar to get em clean. They've been in storage a long time.
Yuppers that what it is. I wanted everything in one unit for simplicity. I installed the glass tonight. It looks great. Didn't take any pics tho. My brother and I dove head first into a box of beer then ended up at an all nite diner for cheeseburgers. I'll take a pic tomorrow when my head stops spinning.
Well it's not much to look at right now but I took a pic of the glass in place with all the weights on it. It'll be a few days before I can stand the tank upright again (I'll take a new pic then) and a full week till we can do the wet test.
Looks great how much did it cost you for the glass?
well here in the wild frontier of Northern Ontario, Canada everyting is retarded so it cost me about 380.00 taxes incl. and the sealer was 27.00 a tube and i used 3 tubes.
A little side project I have on the go. I really wanted all of the airline hidden and a secure means of anchoring the plants so I went and bought a 10' length of 3/4 cpvc and some fittings. I cut a slot along the length of the pipe to contain the bubble wall. Right now it's mocked up and I've painted it with Krylon. After the paint dries I'll take it apart run all of the airline thru it and cement it all together.
