koloton/koliba are one of, if not the, slowest growing lap (and laps in general are notoriously slow growers). Mine grew 1" in the past 1 year.
Yeah it seems patience is needed with them. If i had to guess his growth isnt too far off from what your noticing with yours.
good to know! which is why my mantra for laps now is buy big (i.e. 20" and above where possible) - you're buying time tbh
The dark one hasnt grown much either but she has a crappy appetite and wont eat pellets. I starved her for over a month but ended the battle after the jag cats got torn up. Probably going to resume the fight soon lol

Im not sure this will make sense but here goes.
Two returns at each end of the tank. Tee'd off creating 4 outlets.
Each pair of outlets pointed up toward the surface directed towards the middle of the tank
Flow meets in the middle at the surface. Water is forced down towards the bottom of the tank and along the substrate towards the side panels. Then ends up in the overflow
