300 gallon tank - the project begins!

Thats looking goog man!
I know its a ***** with your knee. I torn my meniscus 2x (lateral and medial) and blew my ACL all in the same knee. So I have had a couple surgeries on it, actually it needs to be completely rebuilt now. Motocross bike injures...... because my right knee is so bad its making my left knee go bad to because its working harder, pretty lame.

Anyway, how is the quality of the tank? How does the silicone look? Im looking forward to following your thread on this setup and I wish you a speedy recovery with your knee.

I'm not real sure which reeflo dart I got, I'll check the links a little later.

Today has been a busy day. I went and picked up some eggcrate, some pvc pipe, and some other goodies. I also purchased two more panes of glass.

I just removed the first baffle, that was a job! I decided that it was too high. The reason is that it is so close to the top of the tank I really didn't have room to install the diy mounts for the filter socks. I am getting ready to start mounting them, once I get done I will post again.

Thanks! I actually hurt my knee while riding a KTM 250 XC so I understand the whole motorcycle thing. I did most of the damage racing road and mountain bikes for years though.

Just finished making the poor boy filter sock holders. I think they will work alright even if they aren't the prettiest thing I have ever seen.

lets put the knee issues asside for now. the tank build is more important right now. we can worry about the knee after.:grinno:

Very nice tank! Can't wait to see it set up and fully stocked. Wish I had room for a 300....

I want to see how you are getting a 210 and 300 wide in your house? Pics of that is what we need to see.

Here are some pictures of the almost completed sump.
