Hey, any excuse to play with more pond foam and I'm on board. Would we paint it or cover it in sand or...?
Everyone is always spraying Great Stuff and covering it in concrete. I say we use the foam, don't seal it and paint it with sprayable acrylic paints. If it's intert there is no reason to seal. Covering it in sand would make it look fake IMO..

How would we get it to sink?
HOW TO MAKE AN INEXPENSIVE CAVE FOR ACLOCKWORKORANGE AND JK47 OUT OF SPRAY FOAM.

1] Take a flat stone (a piece of slate perhaps or a good sizes flat piece of petrified wood) as your base.

SPECAL NOTE: Base should extend 1/2 to 3/4 inch beyond the outside edge of cave wall.

2] Inflate a balloon and using 2 sided tape, tape it on the bottom to the flat stone.
3] Apply a very light even coat of KY gelly over the ballon to keep the spray foam from sticking to the balloon.
4] Completely cover the inflated balloon with spray foam and let dry.
5] Once the foam is dry, mark area where door will be and puncture the balloon by inserting a heavy needle through the center of cut out portion of the door.
6] The cave should now be hollow inside.
7] Cut out and remove marked area for door and viola.
8] Once you're satisfied with the curb appeal of you cave, insert it into tank and bury the flat stone below sand surface level.

I hope this helps, you two. It's just one more good idea. :D

So you want us to lube up a balloon with KY and spray it down with foam? :D:D:D

Interesting. Justin, your thoughts? :naughty:

How else are you going to keep things sanitary and keep the balloon from sticking to the spray insulation foam at the same time? If you have a better idea I'm open to suggestions. Chocolate suryp in a squeeze bottle and whipped cream in an aerosol can doesn't work either. Both are extremely over-rated for this application anyway. :D:D Needless to say, they will not work.
