I have got an orbit buffer for the novus aplication but i just dont have the nerve to use it for the sanding too.Egon;4026300; said:You might want to look into a random orbit sander/buffer. I got one and it really takes a lot of the work out of sanding. I think the random part is key because you wont burn the acrylic if you push hard to get the bad spots.
What kind of lights? I have Coral Life florescent lights and I keep them about 2" off the top for air circulation, mostly because I live in Phoenix and I don't want to transfer any more heat than necessary. I don't think they would ever get to hot to melt the acrylic?broken;4048847; said:I just ordered 2 mag18's for my sumps, and my bulkhead fittings should be in tomorrow.
hopefully i can find some time soon to finish buffing the acrylic so i can start on my sumps and light fixtures.
this being my first acrylic tank i am not shure how close i can put the lights without burning the acrylic. does anybody know how close i can put them????
I was thinking of going with shop lights and when i was cleaning the top of the tank i found a small burn in the acrylic but i think it was from the light actually touching the acrylic.Egon;4048931; said:What kind of lights?
