Cost to date including all the materials not installed yet (electricals, door, walls) is close to $3,000. That includes 2 - 3600 GPH pumps and heaters. Sump is just with the pond liner with my arowanas in it right now. It will be filled with mangroves and floating plants later. My main bio filter will not be in the sump.muckieman;1234265; said:if don't mind me asking how has it cost you so far? also how does the sump look.
wow 35 dicus i knew it was going to lagre but that many. also where did you buy abs sheets and are they sold 12x2 and 12x4. what is that goop stuff to be percise.arl;1239038; said:It was going to be 7 aros but 1 went for a jump. and probably about 35 discus.
Well thats how many discus I have right now but maybe in 2-3 months I'll be taking out some of the runts and we'll see how many will be left. But they won't be fewer than 25. The ABS sheet comes in 4X8 feet. I bought them for $27 each and they're 1/16" thick. I originally thought of acrylic but when I saw this being tougher and only half the price of acrylic I went for it. I get the goop from work. I buy them at the price the company gets them, $47 a box of 12 tubes, but they're the same thing as the household, plumbers, or marine GOOP that you can get at wallmart. I actually used household goop on my first tank(settling tank), it's the cheapest but probably marine is teh best. Here's a pic of the goop that I used.muckieman;1239042; said:wow 35 dicus i knew it was going to lagre but that many. also where did you buy abs sheets and are they sold 12x2 and 12x4. what is that goop stuff to be percise.
