Well merry christmas eve (past) to ya, I was working too. I hope you're able to get some tank work done over the holidays. If it get above freezing here in the next few days, I'm gonna finish up my monster 75!

thank you all for the kind words. hope u all had a merry xmas. I ended up going fishing/camping with my kids this weekend so I didn't get as much done as I would have liked but I had monday off and spent most the day doing the fillet work. I got all the seams filled and coners filleted also filled most of the screw heads in the main section of the tank I didn't feel like getting into the filter area last night it is kind of a tight fit though there is enough room for me to get completely into it and work it is better left for the day time. I also used up most of the filler I bought and only a small amount of resin I was surprised how much filler I had to add to the resin to be able to get it to a recommended peanut butter consistency but I guess that is good since the filler is cheap and resin is pricey. I must add that I am very pleased with the product thus far I even used it at a 50 deg f which is colder than recommened I just mixed it in a warm area and applied and everything has already hardened well now to get on with sanding

also in other related news picked up a used 90 gal acrylic tank with rena canister for $150 tank has some swirl marks in it but nothng that concerns me as it could most likley be polished and it is just a temp tank till the 800 is done. I threw a stand together and got it all setup and moved the cats in they seem to be doing good and hope this tank will last until I finished

I am useing west system 410 microlight filler. I was up late last night sanding. it sands very well and adheres excellent. still have a little more sanding to do on the tank side. tommaro I am going to put the finish trim boards across the top and finish up the window frame. I am going to order some more filler and also get my cloth as I should be ready to start glass after tommaro if all goes well. then I install the glass. while the sealent is drying I will fillet and glass the filter area

just ordered the rest of the glassing supplies. another gal of 105 resin with 1/3 gal of 207 hardner wasn't exactly sure how much I would need and don't want to run out in the middle of the job as I am thinking of knocking it all out in one shot with breaks inbetween coats. I am also going to switch it up from my original plan of two layer of 8.5oz to one layer of 10oz but still plan on useing two layers of 8.5oz cloth tape in the coners and seams as it will be easier to conform. my reasoning for this is a 60 inch wide yard of 10oz was cheaper than a 50 in wide yard of 8.5oz. don't know why though. also two layers of cloth would be overkill and three times the price. so I ordered 20 yds of the 10oz and some more microlight filler
