90 Gallon Tank Current Stock
1 juvie oscar - 2"
1 belly crawler pike 3.5" (the aggressor in the tank) :screwy:
1 Firemouth 3.5"
5 small silver dollars 2-3"

I am looking for a medium-ish cichlid to raise with the current stock

I've tried a 4" female Nicaragua cichlid, but she was VERY shy and didn't eat for about 2 weeks (and was the biggest fish in the tank) so I brought her back. I've thought about raising the following with them.... they are in no specific order

Green terror (LFS has them at 1" and one at 3.5")
EBJD (LFS has one at 5" and one at .5")
Salvini (LFS has them at 1")
Threadfin Acara (LFS has one at 3") aka Acarichthys heckelii
JD (LFS has them at 3" and at 4.5")
Texas (LFS has them at 1") - this one is pretty much a no no in my book but I've thought about it.

Here's my tank...

Your thoughts?? :)

I don't think you should get anymore fish... That tank is perfect for the oscar alone and I'm pretty sure some pikes can get pretty nasty when full grown.

Tank sounds fully stocked already

EBJD will be killed....

I kinda had a feeling, since my pike (male) is currently battling for dominance with my firemouth (male), and the pike seems to be slowly winning that battle, and EBJDs from what I've heard are pretty timid.

I'm open to whatever you all think :headbang2

While it looks like your tank isnt over crowded, your tank will be too small for all that you have when they are larger in about 6 months. If you get more, know that youll have to part with some or do more water changes than you want to (probably).

If it were me, Id enjoy seeing them not overcrowded yet and keep exactly what I have...knowing that Ill still have to eventually get rid of 1 or 2 of the current stock.
