I think a 96x30 footprint would be a good home for an asian or a jar.

And zugs, dont get discouraged. At least you're getting lots of helpful advice. Hell, most of the questions i post go unnoticed and unanswered lol.
Yes

ditto
If I wanted Indo Datnoids and/or maybe PB as tank mates with an Asian or Jar how many do you think I could have of each species in a 96 x 30 x 24?

All of that said, I honestly cannot again in good faith recommend any kind of Arowana to those new/newish to the hobby -- others might disagree but imho it's kind of like getting your first driver's license and going out to buy a Porsche or a Dodge Hellcat as your first car -- best to ease into, get some experience and then move on to something more challenging, just my 2 cents.
+1

Comm tanks like the one that I posted are not something that the vast majority of hobbyists should consider, without a LOT of experience under their belt.

See above. With that in mind, for you personally, with zero experience with an aro, any species of aro, and having never maintained a fish tank, any fish tank, my answer would be zero.

I think that it's ok to have big dreams, and big aspirations, but not at the expense of the fish. Take your time & slow your roll, and listen to the advice that is being given here by members who know what they are talking about - from hands on experience.

I realize that and don't plan on it at least at the moment. I'm just looking into the future. What could be done so I can look forward to it. Again, not looking to start with Aros or anything at all. Just trying to have discussion and make future plans. I find it fun to see what I could house now that I'm going with the 96 x 30 x 24. I have a lot more options now and once I gain more experience I would love to house some of these fish. But I ask because I genuinely don't know.

Would you recommend changing mine based on this? Better to ask now then infract later.
Yeah it's good to ask. I had no idea about that rule in the TOS and thought it was a bug or something when mine disappeared. So I put mine back on. That didn't impress anyone. But I like your new one too! I am using this new one as a temporary one until I draw up a new one.

I look forward to winning the lottery, I'll start planning as soon as that happens. Until then, one step at a time amigo or as others have suggested you will be burnt out before you even have your first tank up & running.
I guess that's fine. I was just excited to see what my tank is capable of is all. I mean why not find out what I can house and have more time to research and learn?
