sorry for your loss mate, i came down this morning to find a dead thinbar dat and am feeling your pain. absolutely no idea what happened to mine as no obvious signs and the others are fine

Sorry for your loss.. when you get a good bichir they actually become like a pet to you..very special..loss my first one and still feel the loss.. even though i have 2 new ones,..they just don't have that awesome personality he had.. maybe they will as they grow.. but you have to get another one!!!

I'm sorry you lost him. My first Clown Knife just up and disappeared 3 weeks after I got him. He was the BEST from the minute he hit the tank. The one I have now hides all the time and he's not that interested in being weaned off feeders.
It's just something that really SUCKS to have to deal with. Seems like it always happens to the "good ones"...

Sorry again...

Well time does heal. I picked up a replacement a week later, and after a bad bout of ick, Problem Camallanus worms and a refusal to eat, I finally have him on them mend.
The new endi, has far fewer stripes but is starting to really grow. In just under a month he has went from 3 inches to just under 6 inches.
Some pics to come.
I appreciate the support and comments.

Joe

It's always sad when a fish goes, they know not what they do when they make that jump.... best of luck in the future.
Kinda intrigued buy the skeleton, the preserving sounds too tech for me, but I love the idea of having a piece of any that go, knock on wood they don't of course.

I've lost a few fish like that... I lost an ART like that one time, and a Trahira another time.

Sorry about that man, it sucks when a favorite dies, it will not be in vain though, let this serve as an example and let us all cover up every possible escape route on our tanks! Good luck with the new fish!
