Well, I have to say that this thread really took on a life of its own!
In hindsight I wish that I had stopped and thought about preservation at the time. The little endi had incredible striping and it may have been a good idea to preserve it.
The good news is that the new has grown from around 3 1/2 inches to just over 6inches in basically one month!!!!!!! At 7 inches he goes into the big tank.

That's great growth progress! Got any pix?
I'm going out this weekend to see if I can find a decent size Poly in any of my LFS. I think I'd have just about an eclectic "community" as I've seen anyone have.
Hope the new guy keeps working out as well as he is now!
