the red devil x con was not proven to in fact be a red devil x con, nor was the jack dempsey x parrot.

What are they then? Not being rude just curious as to how you know and if you know what they are. I think they are all great either way even though some are kind of ugly, to each there own. I love all the tex crosses. Great thread.:headbang2

i was there for a decent amount of these threads, and most of the names of what he is calling them were just guesses. i also doubt a few, judging by their looks, but since i wasnt there for those ones, i'd rather not even bring it up. :)

yeah the convict X red devil was my fish... and we can rule that one out as a rd x con. the guy that got him from me just believes that fish to be a huge convict.

oh and the tex X sal was cyano texas, and that sucker is getting huge. i'll try to snap a current shot of him/her.

i've always loved the jag x festae or manaconda(lame name.) ever since the first time i saw it i wanted to try and get these two fish to breed. unfortinately my female jag wants nothing to do with my male festae. imho the fry might look different than that though. i'm thinking the fins would be a lot more colorful do to jags having purple/blue fins and festae having red with blue spangles. i wouldn't imagine the offspring of these fish to be completely gold.
i think i might try and find some colorful jd's to see if i can try the jd x jag and jd x tex mixes, they're friggin' amazing looking. i've also been thinking of a salvini x festae mix.
