Ive had eggs but he was too angry to spawn with her. Unlike the pic where she is the angry one.She kept on laying eggs and he kept on biting her and pushing rocks around!!But I have faith it will happen in time!! The babies should look amazing!!!

i've always loved the jag x festae or manaconda(lame name.) ever since the first time i saw it i wanted to try and get these two fish to breed. unfortinately my female jag wants nothing to do with my male festae. imho the fry might look different than that though. i'm thinking the fins would be a lot more colorful do to jags having purple/blue fins and festae having red with blue spangles. i wouldn't imagine the offspring of these fish to be completely gold.
i think i might try and find some colorful jd's to see if i can try the jd x jag and jd x tex mixes, they're friggin' amazing looking. i've also been thinking of a salvini x festae mix.
i am not convinced the jd x jag is what it says, but you never know i guess.

you know i was kind of thinking the same thing, i see no real signs of parachromis in there at all; but maybe it's just more dominate jd genes. i'm going jd hunting tomorrow for my female jag.

Red head x Blood parrot, Loiselle x Texas, Jack Dempsey x Texas, Jack x Jag and
Jack Dempsey x Blood Parrot are all soo awesome looking!!
