The last pic is off a few 'grow out' animals still of exhibit. Niger catfish, a few convicts and some uaru cichlids. There are also a couple dozen silver dollars in that flow through set up as well.
With the way they produce, I can budget "food" money somewhere else now. I needed a new desk In all reality, the fry from the first batch of midas I left in are about the size of a dime now. The second and third group are doing well, too. The batch that I pulled (1st batch from a few months ago) are turning orange already!!
Yeah, they are true midas. They are part of a study out of Ohio State University. It's a genetic research project. It's being done by the same group that is doing the food fish / ornimental fish captive breeding research we're involved with.
