Whatever.. All fishes I see in her are ugly and not worth keeping. So what if they are rare.

I could say the same about your flowerhorns. But, I don't go around saying their abominations every time I see a thread with one.

It depends on why you have fish. some people just want something colorful to look at (e.i. flowerhorns). others want to to have predatory fish (cichlas, wolf fish, piranhas........). you also have the ones who want the rare fish whether they are colorful or not( ramsdeni has no color but i bet if someone had a pair for sale they could get a nice chunk of change for it). then you have the ones that just want to help conserve and spread out cichlid species who are diminishing in their natural habitats.

either way we all love fish

Sorry for bumping old threads but won some old TFH magazines from our local fish auction recently. And while going through the November 1989 issue a fish kinda stood out and made me remember about this thread.

Sorry mods feel free to erase this post if voilates anything.

Don't know if this picture has already been posted but here's picture of fish.

I believe from reading, locations of these fishes were from Belize and Guatemala.
.

The cool thing about old threads is that sometimes they bring up a fish that I haven't seen. That is the case here. The articles are interesting too. I need to update my aquarium library. Most of my books are pretty dated.
