Fantastic setup, can't believe I missed this thread, this tank has a great design, A+. This is making me want to setup a planted tank.

Hee hee, i was wondering when som one would ask that question...

I bascially taped up the tank based on the golden ratio to make setting up the tank easier for me by taking out the guess work :)
LOL, it's good to know I'm not the only one that does this.

Thanks :)

And to be honest, i was in the same boat as you a few months back... kept seeing some really nice planted tanks on here and after trying my hand at a paludarium decided to finally give in a create a full on planted tank, although at the beginning (as you probably read) i didn't planning on going quite so high tech...

As for the golden ratio... yeah, i was a little hesitant on if i should post up pics of that to avoid looking a little nerdy / silly, but then i thought, what the heck, i'm sure has to be a few of us here that would consider doing that when setting up an aquascape... especially since trying to eyeball it over and over is hard and doesn't always leave us with the desired effect when finished... unless your a pro of course who does this every other week like some guys i know...

what is that red one called? never seen anything like that before but you guys get plants and fish long before the states ever do
Yeah, i know we're spoilt over here...

Unfortunately, as far as i know this is a new species of aquatic plant, not sure if it started off as a land plant or was originally aquatic to begin with, but from what i heard, its only been on the market a few times over here, and not all that often...

As far as a name goes, i'm still asking around to see if any of the experts i know over here can tell me, but everyone i have asked so far says they havent been officially named yet, so will keep you updated if someone doea know what its called...
