Do sod on the outside of the flagstone and gravel inwards toward the pond.

Yeah I have a tonnnn on nice pretty rocks that are in my 46gallon tank and I might be making that into a puffer tank so will probably swap them out for sand and would probably have enough to go most of the way around the pond with them. For now I will probably just use seed since I already have a bag of seed and fertilizer but if I cant get it to grow I will probably buy some sod. Thanks for the compliments and input, im really enjoying it so far. Is it strange that I really like fishing out the leaves and stuff with a net, just seems really relaxing?

So quick question...currently my pump is just shooting directly back into the pond out a 10" long pipe which creates a slight spin to the water in the pond but no surface agitation. Should I leave it like this or put a 90 elbow on the pipe ant have it shoot out a few inches below the surface to have it kind of bubble up? I do have a spare 2port air pump im not using I was thinking about just getting some big 6"round airstones to help agitate/oxygenate the water but its not meant for outdoors so would have to bury it in a sealed box of sorts.

Been forever but here is an update, Do think I might end up clearing it out and lifting it up an inch, I never had any issues with stuff rinning into it once I had the stones in place and a rain or two, but after a year it has settled down an inch or two and the stones lean into it. I might just get some gravel and put under them to level it all out again though. *shrugs*. I ended up buying an all-in-one pond filter with the uv/waterfall, during the summer I couldn't keep the algea away, was solid green the whole time, I have been running it on and off now and have a nice green coating on the pond but the water is crystal clear, and if I leave the UV plugged in for more than a week the pond walls will start clearing up as well but I kind of like it. Anyways, here are some pics...grass is starting to fill in.
