Anybody have the gold barred Midas from Rapps ? Pics?

great camera skills!
yours look great about what size are they ( sorry i may have missed this information in scrolling)
My male only shows the rose line down the lateral line his bars are very faded but the female looks like yours, I'm wondering if hes not mature enough yet. He does have a nuchal hump though (4.5-5" now)

Thanks.

Measured when I first got them a month ago, male was 8" and female 5".

Mines has the dark bars pretty much all the time, even when not breeding. That's one reason I really like these guys. They're a nice contrast to my "red isletas" who hardly ever shows any barrings at all.

Jeff described that situation in an email are you in Alaska? about getting this female back from a customer to breed them. My males are gold with the rose line and look more like you've described the 2 females look like the photos above or have since their tubes have been down.

Yes I am in Alaska. It's all good, I know Midas carry color morphs. So I'm not saying that these Midas aren't gold bars, I just thought they would look more similar to the wild parents.

Mine are doing well- I removed the additional male and the remaining male seems to have a favorite female at this time. Had one successful spawn with 2 males in the tank. It’s been a few weeks and it looks as though they will spawn again soon. It won’t allow me to post the video as it too large.

On another note where do you get those square clay flu tubes? I cannot find them anywhere near me
