I started a thread in the photo lounge with some pics of the Arapaima at the Henry Doorly Zoo.
Wasn't sure where to post them. I think Zoodiver said they ran over 10'. I would have guessed a little shorter, but it's tough to judge. He's the expert, though. They are MASSIVE!
They are cool. Do you know offhand how many they have? I never got around to actually counting them. It's amazing how many people walk by looking at the macaws and sloth and don't even notice the fish.
I have no clue as to their collections size. I know it's one of the largest groups in the US right now. I think Dallas World still has the largest group of them. I'll have to check with ISIS and see how many they have listed.
