I have been in search of one of these guys for some time now and I was lucky enough to come across a beautiful triple cross! The little guy/girl is a V.Flavirufis x V.Gloudii x V.Penolpe cross the nice thing about the Flavi cross is that they tend to keep them a little smaller, which will help to handle him as an adult. But being a triple cross there really is no telling how big he or she will get. Was hatched out in Jan and was then picked up by Repti Racks, they decided to go a different way and I jumped on the deal. I got him/her in early April at about 12 weeks old and 10-12". Just had him out in the tube for a good soaking and to work on handling him, he did great and got a new measurement on him at 18". The colors on him or her is amazing, very bright! Right now he is in a holding tank as I put together his new enclosure. Current tank is a 75gal with 2 hides one warm one cool and tons of drift wood for climbing and and basking on, since he is still young he does do some climbing. New setup will have a very deep dirt/sand mix for all of his digging needs.
Ill keep this updated with growth rates and pictures as the time goes by.

That is a nutty hybrid! Beutifull... keep us posted. I always wanted an Argus.

Thanks guys! He eats like a pig, gets crickets or roaches daily and twice a week he gets pinkies and about once a week hes getting eggs. I have his basking spot around 115f so that should be keeping him nice and warm.
Hes got a pretty good temperament for a hatchling which with handling I hope keeps improving. Hasnt ever tried to bite just like to puff up and hiss at me till i get a hold of him then he settles down.

nice go 120 on the basking spot

I checked it yesterday and it was at 120 around mid day. This AZ keeps that room hot but yes I was going for 115-120. its getting hotter out here so I have to watch to make sure id doesnt get to hot, even tho some say they can go up to 150 which sounds crazy.
Thanks for the heads up.

lol yea i wouldnt go 150 most id let it go up is 130-135 i change the temps on my basking spots if my monitor just ate a big meal ill bump up the basking temp then when hes had enough ill bring it down back to 120

Great idea but how do I do that when I don't have it on a thermostat to control the temp like that. Or where can I find something to regulate it like that.
