No high horses here bud, just pointing out simple facts. Regardless of whether or not the pond leads anywhere or the fish is "native" doesn't excuse releasing an aquarium fish into an uncontrolled waterbody. Simple aquarium rules 101. Not to mention that legally it is no different to if you released a dovii or other exotic (Fisheries Act 1994, Fisheries Regulation 2008). Having said that, release all the "natives" you want, releasing fish just ensures I have paid work as an ecologist.dingoofus;3367035; said:Mate, get off ya high horse, and pull ya head out of your kyhber.
Mate releasing this fish into the pond of which I did, is no different than having one in your backyard pond. The pond is about the size of an outdoor pool.masone;3369503; said:No high horses here bud, just pointing out simple facts. *just in case you don't get why I use quotation marks around the word native, any species outside its natural range or habitat is considered exotic. Makes no difference if it's originally from a different waterway or a different country.
