Sydney is where most exotics originate so that's half the battle won. Hit the links Eric put up, shouldn't take you too long to track them down.AussieMonster;3372056; said:hey does anyone know where to get gars, pbass, birchers etc etc in sydney?
and I think you're an absolute pompous wanker. Let me clarify where I come from, I come from somewhere where the people don't think they are know it alls, trust each other decision, have common sense and overall we aren't total suckholes. You reckon you know everything don't ya? I don't even reckon you know how to wipe your own arse. So the pond floods? the fish get washed onto nearby football field. Pretend I decide to build a pond in my own backyard, are you gonig to have a go at me then as well? Mate you haven't even seen this pond of which I speak, how can you say my decision is wrong due to this fact? Have you come down here to this pond and assessed it? When you do that, I'll let you judge me, but until then get your all-knowing head and shove it right up your arse.amehel0;3372318; said:dingoofus ur an absolute idiot. first lemme clarifiy where i come from. i have completed a course in aquculture in native aussie fish so i know a bit. first things first your fish is not from that genetic stock. so theres the number 1 boo boo secondly realeasing any fish is againts acc and esd principals. (aquaculture code of conduct and environmentally sustainable development. thirdly di you have an environmental impact done to assess the risk of flooding and stock escape?
if you cant keep a fish dont buy it in the first place if youve bought a fish abnd you dont want it euthanaise it, sell it or give it away (im always happy to take on ehalthy 10cm+ natives and some non natives)
I hope you assess it for flooding, and don't release any captive bred fish into it, they are not from the same strain, it's a big boo boo, blah blah blah.amehel0;3372327; said:changin the liner on my 4500 litre ponds on sunday gonna be one hell of an excersise! lots of photos of my fish will get loaded.
It's in his garage so I'd say flooding is not going to be a problem. And at the end of the day, you did exactly what the authorities seem to believe everyone in our hobby will do, release our fish when they cause a problem or we don't want them anymore. Sure, commonsense and that crazy thing called reality may tell us that the fish isn't going to ever get out from wherever it was released but unfortunately commonsense doesn't come in to play as far as the authorities are concerned. If it did I would have piranhas again cos commonsense dictates that I'm not going to release fish I pay 1K+ for.dingoofus;3373413; said:I hope you assess it for flooding, and don't release any captive bred fish into it, they are not from the same strain, it's a big boo boo, blah blah blah.
